Venomous Gaboon viper (Bitis gabonica) hunts and kills mice in the rainforest of Central Africa.
This scene shows the Gaboon viper on the hunt in the tropical forests of Central Africa. This footage will be used in the documentary The Most Venomous Snakes of Africa by Living Zoology. This film will present many species of black continent's most feared snakes.


MultIplay3r  comment this video:The camouflage on this snake is unreal!! Wonder why it needs such large fangs for such small prey? The fangs have to go almost go straight through the mice. The first mouse had blood coming from its nose, meaning the fangs punctured its lungs. Couldnt imagine running into one of these rascals.

Venom Central  comment this video:Amazing video. And no way this is staged. I captive breed Gaboon vipers and this one is true wild Gaboon. Look at some of my Gaboon videos and see how clean they are compared to this one. This is just great footage taken by a very patient person. Great job !

Malcolm Allison  comment this video:The people of Africa are lucky that the Gaboon Viper is not an aggressive snake, otherwise there would be more deaths caused by it. And of course the longer a snake’s fangs, the more painful the bites of it will be.
